Use this as guide only, we do recommend you get measured!

There is no better reason than your wedding to ensure your wearing the right size bra or basque, when were you last measured? Experts say between 8 out of every 10 ladies are wearing the wrong size bra!

To ensure the correct size and fit, we recommend having a specialist check your bra.

We know some women want to understand more about fit and want to have some idea of how to properly select, put on and fit an appropriate bra for themselves.  We've looked at dozens of measuring systems and found that none of them are quite the same.  And, careful testing has shown that none of them have 100% accuracy rate either.  As much as we wish it were, measuring for a bra is not an exact science.  So, what's a woman to do?  Here is some common-sense advice for a perfect fit.

Start with this simple first step: If you own a bra that fits you perfectly, start with that size when selecting new silhouettes.  How do you know it's a perfect fit?  Here are some guidelines:

Band Size:
Make sure the band around your rib cage fits correctly.  If the band is too tight or uncomfortable, it's too small.  Signs that your band size is too big include breasts falling out from the bottom of your bra or the back riding up.  A correctly sized band will fit firmly around your back.  Generally, the back and front of the band should be even and parallel to the floor.

The Band Test:
Try this test with your bra hooked on the middle setting: ask someone to put two fingers between your back and the back of your bra, then to turn their hand 90 degrees.  The fingers should now be very firmly wedged and the person should not be able to pull the bra further away from your back.

Replace bras that no longer fit properly or wear out as they do not provide adequate support and do not enhance your shape under clothing.

Cup Size:
The cups should be large enough so that your breasts are contained and don't bulge out.  If it is an underwire bra, make sure the underwires aren't resting on or poking any breast tissue.  It's best if the fabric panel between the cups sits firmly against your chest (breast bone). Make sure the wire, cups the breast tissue right round to almost under your arm. If your bra does not do this it tends to gape making you think the cup size is to big when actually its to small! (This is a common mistake by ladies who are wearing an "a" cup).

Please keep in mind that every bra doesn’t work for every person.  This is why we always recommend that you have a fitting each time you buy a bra.
